Had a great day out in Halong Bay.. Sunny, our tour guide was friendly, knowledgeable & very helpful.. The lunch was delicious & the visit to the cave was great.. Thank you Alova for a very memorable experience..

We chose two nights three days, and had a great time. Plenty of food and great quantities, friendly tour guides (Sunny) and legendary bar man (Hung).

On hindsight we should have chose two days one night purely based on the weather. Because we couldn't really swim or sit outside in the sun, we ended up spending 8 hours on the second day on a boat visiting the Pearl Farm for the second...

A must go trip in Vietnam. The view is amazing. Nice and delicious foods and a responsible, friendly tour guild Mr Sunny! Don't miss this trip when you visit Hanoi!

This was such a pleasant experience! The 3 1/2 hour ride from Hanoi to Ha Long Bay was enjoyable to see rural communities, types of construction and beautiful farmlands! Stayed for 1 night on Alova and we were very pleasantly surprised by the room interiors - great attention to woodwork detail.
Food prepared by the Chef was crazy good with lots of attention to detail on fruit/vegetable decorations.

My brother booked this tour for early December so not sure who he compared it with, but look no further. We were picked up in Hanoi by our guide called “Man”, he was so funny and helpful. We did the three day two night tour with Alova Gold which we really enjoyed. It was definitely worth during the extra day because the canoeing on the second day was brilliant - the highlight of the trip. We were a little disappointed with the food (the same on both nights) but the cocktail menu and quantity of food meant that we didn't complain too much. All the guides we had were really nice...

We were quite overwhelmed with how many travel agents and travel companies there are offering Halong Bay overnight cruises and so we spent the best part of a day walking around Hanoi Old Quarter getting quotes from random travel agents and taking down the names of the cruise companies. I and my friend were on Alova for 1 night trip. The tour guide - Mr. Thang, together with cruise manager - Sydney did such a good job of the host and made us feel like at home. The tour guide was knowledgeable and enthusiastic. Food was great, too.
For the cruise, well... it's so so I think. Clean cabin, hot water available. That's all I need for a superior cruise.
