I was actually quite worried about what we were going to get after hearing horror stories from other travelers about their experiences on Ha Long Bay only days before (rats, cancelled etc). But as soon as our guide Sunny picked us up from the travel agency I was relaxed. The whole trip to the boat out on the bay was seem less thanks to Sunny. And then we got on the boat, it was amazing! The room was beautiful, the upstairs deck was ridiculous and the bar/ restaurant was perfect. Mr Hue makes a mean passion fruit martini and the chef (can’t believe his name is escaping me now) put on the best spread I’ve seen. The whole crew were really amazing but I cannot rave enough about our tour guide Sunny. Sunny is one of the nicest people I have ever met and genuinely wanted everyone on the trip to feel comfortable and have a good time. We had an amazing time hanging out with him and hope to see him again on our next trip to Vietnam.
