The climate of Ha Long Bay is tropical, being wet and hot. It is devides into four main seasons: winter is from November to March of following year, the temperatures drop to between 15oC - 20oC.

Located in Bai Tu Long Cong Tay Island is a spot in the tour around the Ngoc Vung, Quan Lan islands. It is about 40km from Bai Chay Tourist Wharf and takes 90 minutes from Cam Pha to the island by ordinary ship and 30 minutes by express ship.

Trong Mai Islet is located in the South-West side of Halong Bay, 5km from the tourist wharf. This Islet is considered as a symbol of Halong Bay in particularly and Vietnam Tourism in generally.

Reu Island is located at Northeast of Vietnam, just a 500-meter boat trip from Halong Bay City. The island is fast changing into an interesting resort through the project of Hoang Gia International Joint Venture

Located eight kilometers south-west of Ha Long City, Tuan Chau is the most beautiful and only populated island among the 2000 islands in Ha Long Bay. It covers an area of 2.2 kilometres square and has a luxuriant pine forest together with two man made beaches of very white, fine sand to the east and south.

Quan Lan Island belongs to Bai Tu Long Bay; part of an island range on the outside of the gulf of Bac Bo. It has an area of 11 sq. km, and features eight populated hamlets.

Situated about 7-8 km south-east of Bãi Cháy lies the small Ti Top Island. Titov island owns the attractive beach with a beautiful landscape.

Ho Dong Tien (Fairy Lake Cave) is one of the most beautiful caves in Halong Bay. Due to its special values of geology, geomorphology and formation history of Halong Bay, Ho Dong Tien so far is reserved for the environmental ecology classroom (Ecoboat) and specialists for researches only.
