We did the three day two night tour with Alova Gold which we really enjoyed. It was definitely worth during the extra day because the canoeing on the second day was brilliant – the highlight of the trip. We were a little disappointed with the food (the same on both nights) but the cocktail menu and quantity of food meant that we didn’t complain too much. All the guides we had were really nice and friendly and the room on the boat was comfortable. We were pleased with the trip for the price that we paid and would recommend it to anyone wishing to experience Halong Bay on a budget.
