Lucky is an amazing and very funny tour guide! Alova rooms are clean and the food is more than enough. Definitely try the beer passion fruit drink!

Me and my family traveled with alova for 2 days/1 night 30/11-2012. This cruise was amazing. The boat has beautiful cabins and the staff are amazing. Our tour guide sunny was a really funny guy and his english was good.

Had a fabulous time with Alova Gold Cruises for two days and one night. The guide Nguyen Dinh Nghe (nickname Peter) made the difference from very good to great. The 2D1N trip to Ha Long Bay was inclusive of the Groupon voucher we purchased for 5D4N Hanoi Sky Hotel with 1-day Hanoi tour. So i reckon the reservations for Alova Gold Cruise etc was arranged by the personnel from Hanoi Sky Hotel.

Friend and I book a Halong bay tour via the hotel with Alova Day Cruise to Halong Bay. The best part of our trip was our guide. Peter made sure we were well taken care of. The bus trip to and from Ha Long Bay is the only negative but necessary part of the trip. This is a part of Vietnam you should definitely see. I heartily recommend Alova Gold Cruises Day tours

The tour is well organized, shows the main interest points and activities are fun.
The local guide was very interesting and we got the chance to personally discuss with him about the Vietnamese culture and how things really are in Vietnam outside of the tourist attractions.

Very prompt in reply during booking and good customer service. Reliable cruise. Value for money. I have enjoyed the kayaking trip during the cruise. The cabin toilet is a little worn and cleanliness can be improved. But overall, it is very value for money and reliable provider.

I used Alova for a day trip from Hanoi including kayaking and cave. While it was a exhaustingly long day it was very well organised and enjoyable day. Modern bus with a careful driver, a great guide and a big lunch on arrival on the boat.

I was traveling alone but felt very safe and well taken care of. The rooms/food/activities were excellent.

The only trouble I had was understanding the tour guide. He spoke English, but his accent was so heavy and he spoke so quickly that it was really difficult to understand him. The other guests told me they also had trouble understanding him.
