We booked a 2day 1night Halong Bay Alova Gold cruise through Darian Cubert.
It was COLD like 10 degrees. Dress warmly.

Mike (Hung) was our tour guide and he was excellent. Very good English, entertaining and informative, and made sure everyone on board was comfortable throughout the trip. 
We had 8 families sharing the boat with kids and vegetarian , Mike did a great job. 

The cruise itself, in reference to its price range, is excellent. 
Pick up and drop off was on time. 
Food was plentiful and delicious, the crew was professional.
Cabin was clean in all the areas you will touch, plenty of hot water too. 
The drinks from the bar was also good. 
Activities included kayaking , swimming , and exploring one of the famous caves.
Bartender even showed us how to carve flowers out of fruits and vegetables. 
Perhaps an on board movie at night would be nice, but then again they want you to wake up at 7am the next day..

This would be a great cruise to relax and see the halong bay and its beautiful caves.

If you like snacks you need to bring your own. All they got was beef jerky.
