After obtaining valuable info from The Kangaroo Cafe, we booked through them Alova Cruise on Halong bay. They have 2 boats, we were on the newer one with a bigger outdoor deck. The rooms were nice and clean, good air con, bathrooms were clean and worked ok.
The whole experience from pick up to, the Cruise, Lunch, Dinner, Drinks, Excursions and drop of was amazing. We had a Guide called “Lucky”, He was fantastic, great English, his knowledge of Halong Bay the caves and floating villages was top class. I even taught him a few Aussie slang Slogans that he can now add to his informative speeches. 
The food was amazing and too much of it, drinks were cold and well priced, good selection of wines.
