I signed up for an overnight stay with Go Asia Travel on Halong Bay. I wasn’t very sure exactly what I was getting for my money, however on arrival I knew it was going to be a great trip. My guide, Tom was helpful and always looking out for the eight guests on board. Be prepared for a kayak around the bay and happy hour at the bar. The food on board was AMAZING! If you’re a foody I strongly recommend this tour for you. As for Halong Bay the views were breath taking. The accommodation was nice, with a decent bathroom. The rooms have air conditioning which is turned on at 5pm. Otherwise the ship is a little warm and you’re always hunting for a breeze. I would recommend the company schedule more swimming off the ship especially during the hot seasons. I don’t recommend a day tour to Halong Bay from Hanoi. It’s a long journey.
